GOV.ABIODUN SWEARS IN NEW CABINET MEMBERS, HARPS ON PHILOSOPHY OF COMMITMENT TO SERVICE TO PEOPLE OF THE STATE

 







Ogun State governor Dapo Abiodun has sworn in 42 newly appointed cabinet members including 20 commissioners and 22 special advisers.

The swearing in came following the screening and affirmation of the nominees by the State House of Assembly affirmed and confirmed them suitable for different roles in Abiodun’s cabinet for second term.





Those sworn in as commissioners include; Akande Omoniyi, Olaolu Olabintan, Adebowale Adeesanya , Dr Tomi Coker, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, Oludotun Taiwo, Adekola Sofela, Femi Ilori, Adijat Adeleye, Gbenga, Dairo, Tunji Odunlami, Ganiu Isiaka, Efuape Olufunmilayo among others. 

While Tajudeen Egunjobi, Kayode Akinmade, Seyi Ogunseye, Adebiyi Adeleye, Rasaq Oluwakemi, Jide Ojukwu, Reuben Ogungbe, Ronke soyombo among others were sworn in as special advisers. 

At the  ceremony, held at the Oba’s Complex in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital on Friday, the governor administered the oath of office to the Commissioner-designates and the SAs, most of whom had served in Abiodun’s first-term cabinet.

Abiodun in his speech charged the new cabinet members  to be guided with philosophy to be committed to service to the people of the state.

He said “Despite the back stabbing, conspiracy at all fronts to stop our moving train , our God was  faithful. Be guided with philosophy to be committed to service to the people of Ogun . 

“With the inauguration of these men and women of committed and unquestionable character, our state is lucky to have these men and women of great intellectual capacity. We must hit the ground running 

“You have been tested and found worthy among many others. You must be conscious of the fact that our people expect so much from you and we must not disappoint them.

“You must also always relate and work together with your colleagues. You must build a symbiotic relationship with the civil servants,”Abiodun  stated.
