In order to make Ogun State a violence free, safe, strong and peaceful place, the Special Adviser on security to the Ogun Governor, Rtd. AIG Olushola Subair has inaugurated Partnership Against Violence Extremism (P.A.V.E)
The inauguration was held recently at his office in Oke- Ilewo, Abeokuta.
AIG Olushola Subair who said the security of the nation remains not just the primary concern of the government but the number one concern of every citizen, hence the need for the security agencies to partner with the development and dynamics civil society organizations that focus on violence free society and issues bordering on peace in the state.
He said the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun CON, MFR is ever ready to prevent and protect its people and will not condole any act of violence, kidnapping and terrorism, saying despite government expenditure on different sectors, Ogun state government concerned more on both internal and environmental security.
Responding on behalf of the civil society organization represented, the founder Peace Initiative Nettwork, Dr. Michael Femi Sodipo, said more need to be done to end violence in the state and promised to work hand in hand with partners.
Other P.A.V.E members include the Director, National School Crime Prevention Corps, Comrade Ige olayinka and State Chariperson, Stand up For Women Society (S.W.S) Liberator Folake Ade-Adeniji.
