It was an epoch + making day of joy last weekend when a prominent Egun Community+ Gbekon in Ado-Odo paid homage to the newly installed Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, His Royal MaJesty Oba Olusola Idris Adebowale Osolo in Ado-Odo.
It was over forty years since the demise of the late Oba Akapo and the town had never known peace due to challenges of chosing a new Oba which had thrown the ancient town into communal crisis. So, the peaceful selection leading to the installation of the new Olofin, Oba Olusola Adebowale Osolo is a thing of joy to come for the entire Ado-Odo Kingdom and the surrounding villages.
In his address, Gbekon community Chairman, Pastor Sewanu Agosu said Gbekon community comprising of seven villages: Bokosa, Jeku, Asamu, Bamgnose, Sharing, Egbahundo and Tonuewa had all resolved to give total cooperation and support to Oba Adebowale Osolo in his dream of of bringing back the lost glory to Ado-Odo.
Delivering the Royal blessings,Oba Olusola Adebowale Osolo, the Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo noted that Gbekon community had always been in cooperation with Ado-Odo adding that there should now be no dissenting voices than restoration and development of Ado-Odo in our minds and actions. He appealed to all prominent sons and daughters of the town to consider coming back home to contribute their own ideas and resource to the development of the town.
