Ogun Amotekun to train new recruits from 6th to 18th July

 





The Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps has announced the commencement of training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process, as part of its commitment to strengthening the operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order within the State.

According to a statement signed by the corps commander, Brig. Gen. Alade Adedigba,rtd and made available to Journalists on Tuesday, "The training initiative, which is in line with Amotekun standard practice, is designed to equip the newly recruited personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge for operational efficiency and effective discharge of their duties.


"Shortlisted candidates who are expected to report for the training exercise scheduled to commence from Sunday, 6th to Friday, 18th July, 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu by 8:00am, are encouraged to adequately prepare for this essential training, arriving on time to facilitate a smooth induction process. 


Candidates are required to bring the following items:


i) One bucket  

ii) One broom  

iii) One cutlass  

iv) Two pairs of white round-neck T-shirts  

v) Two pairs of white shorts/knickers  

vi) Two pairs of white tennis sneakers  

vii) Two pairs of white socks  

viii) Two pairs of white bedsheets  

ix) Writing materials (jotters, pens, pencils, sharpener, erasers)  

x) Two files containing passport photographs and original & photocopies of credentials  

xi) Bank Verification Number (BVN)  

xii) National Identification Number (NIN)  


"The Corps authority urges all recruits to adhere to the instructions provided and fully cooperate with the camp officials throughout the training period to ensure its success. 


"The Corps congratulates the successful candidates and appreciate their courage, cooperation and commitment to serving with the Amotekun Corps" the statement ended.
