As the Bye Election for the Remo Federal Constituency election draws nearer, the Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in the election, Hon. Oluwaseyi Osho has considered experience as one of the qualities that sets him apart from other candidates vying for the House of Representatives seat.
He declared that the National Assembly seat does not need a political novice who will start learning how to facilitate projects.
The Ex- Ogun State House of Assembly member in the 9th Assembly stated this on Tuesday at the Meet the Press organised by Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council.
"We don't need someone who will start learning how to facilitate projects from scratch. We need someone with experience, and I'm proud to say that I have that experience. I've served in local government and the State Assembly, and I'm ready for the next challenge.
"Among all the candidates, I stand out. None of them have government experience, none have executive experience, and none have a background in law. But I'm a lawyer, a legislator, and a lawmaker.
"I believe I'm the best person to represent my people, and my people know it too.
"I'm confident, not complacent, and not overconfident. But I have faith in God, and I believe that God has brought me this far and will take me beyond. I'm ready to serve my people and make a difference."
Hon.Osho who expressed confidence in the Party, added that he has garnered support from Remo electorate through his numerous people orientated projects implemented through the May 5 foundation while in office and outside office.
He described the Party as the rave of the moment that is being accepted in Nigeria and Ogun State.
"Many members have defected from the PDP to join ADC, leaving PDP weakened. This election is not just about personality or party, but about having a formidable candidate with connections across local governments".
He submitted that if elected he would consolidate on the legacy projects left behind by late Honourable Adewunmi Onanuga Ijaya.
The Ex- legislator promised to focus on youth empowerment, education and infrastructural development, assuring that he would perform beyond the expectations of the people of his constituency.
Osho while dismissing the notion that Remo is the stronghold of People Democratic Party, emphasized the importance of having vast experience, particularly in representing Remo at the National Assembly .
