Ijebu-born US Naval Officer and Balogun of Egbe Obaneye Obinrin Akile Ijebu, Balogun Ayoola Fehintola Brat, has honored the late Awujale Adetona and Baaroyin Dayo Rufai (D1) with a Certificate of Honor and Appreciation alongside the United States Flag.
Balogun Ayoola Fehintola Brat, accompanied by Amb. Sijuade Olalekan, Mr. Opeyemi Oshisanwo, Afolabi Oluwabunmi, Adebanjo Adebisi, and Abike Awokoya, visited Olori Agba Iyabo Adetona at the Ogbagba Court, Igbeba, Ijebu Ode to present the symbolic honor.
Speaking during the presentation, Balogun Ayoola explained that the recognition was on behalf of the departed monarch, describing the late Awujale’s leadership as impactful, exemplary, and worthy of emulation.
In her response, Olori Agba Iyabo Adetona reflected on the life and legacy of the late Awujale, recalling his loving nature, his final moments, and how God helped him fulfill his dreams — particularly laying the foundation for the realization of Ijebu State. She concluded with prayers for Balogun Ayoola and her team, urging them to remain good to everyone.
The honor also extended to Baaroyin Dayo Rufai (D1), with Balogun Ayoola expressing deep appreciation for his unwavering support spanning 18 years.
