APC LG Congress: Sagamu, Ikenne LGs Record Credible, Fair, and Peaceful Conducts

 



The All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Congress was held across the nation on Saturday, with Sagamu Local Government and Ikenne LGs recording credible, fair, and peaceful conducts.


The exercises, as witnessed by our reporter, were devoid of skirmishes, with not even the slightest altercation seen.


Speaking to journalists at the Hon. Oriyomi Onaguga ICT Centre, Sagamu, Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Funmi Efuwape described the exercise as a family programme being conducted peacefully.




"It is a family programme. APC is known as a family party. We do our things peacefully. At the end of the day, everybody is a winner. Party members should remain faithful and let today's winners know that they won today, and not because they are better than others. The minority will have their say, and the majority will have their way," she stated.




In separate interviews, the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon.Oladele Odulate and  Member Representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo Federal Constituency,Hon. Adesola Elegbeji adjudged the process as rancour-free, credible, and fair.

At Saint Saviour Anglican School, Ikenne, the exercise was hitch-free as the APC LG delegates conducted the voting in an orderly manner.




Addressing journalists, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure,Hon. Adebowale Akinsanya described the exercise as one guided by APC bye-law and being supervised by INEC in conformity with the law.


"We followed the procedures, in conformity with the law, that is why you can see that it is a successful exercise," Oresanya said, admonishing party members to be faithful and dedicated, adding, "This is just the beginning. We have a long way to go. Let's get the way."


Safety and security are everyone's responsibility - Hon. Oyeleke Oluwole




Meanwhile,The Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Security, Hon. Oyeleke Oluwole, has urged everyone to prioritize security and safety.


Oluwole made this statement during the APC Local Government Congress held at Hon. Oriyomi Onaguga ICT Centre, Sagamu.


The SSA, who described the congress as absolutely peaceful, added that safety and security should be everyone's priority.


"It is not just what the Governor, as Chief Security Officer of the state, should be doing. That is why he has people like myself and a few others as well. We should all come together, join hands with the government, and ensure security. Security starts from our household," he said.
