Ijaka Oke, a town in Yewa North Local Government Area, burst with vibrant colours and joy on February 21, 2026, as it hosted a grand cultural festival .
The celebration marked a double milestone: giving thanks to the Almighty and commemorating the 2nd anniversary of HRH. Alayeluwa. Oba (TRN) Kayode Joseph Ogungbohun, (Osolo 1) The Agbaigba of Ijaka Oke Kingdom.
The event attracted dignitaries from far and near. The Chairman of the occasion, Rt. Hon. Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi (OBG), commended the monarch’s achievements and assured the people that fixing the road to Ijaka Oke would be a top priority once elected.
As part of the celebration, Princess Ayonrinde was installed as the Yeye Tadese of Ijaka Oke.
She was accompanied by her mother, Her Lordship, Erelu (Cllr) Lola Ayorinde, a distinguished public servant and two-time Mayor of the London Borough of Wandsworth, as well as representatives of the Olowu of Owu Kingdom.
It was truly a memorable celebration of culture, unity, and progress.
