Ogun Man Escapes Death After brutal Attack over Politics

 

A glaring death that brushes off ones' cap, indicates one has to run for his or her dear life.

This proverb aptly described the harrowing ordeals of a resident of Tigbo Junction ,Tijani Abideen Babatunde in the hands of dare devil suspected political killer squad recently.

According to him, he incurred the wrath of the self acclaimed  Omo Governor killer squad in Ilogbo,Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State as a result of his choice of Political Party ahead of the 2023 elections.

 Babatunde, who was writhing in pains,visibly shaking, with  sign of fear written on his face

as a rest of the magnitude of injuries sustained on the head in the near death attacks, disclosed that he was a popular influencer and served as agent during the 2023 polls,and as a result of this, confrontations ensued between him and many personalities that were members of the All Progressives Congress in  Tigbo ward, Ado -Odo Ota LG.

 "This assault occurred  in  my residence on April 20th,2023 . It was  by a five- man gang led by Omo Governor. They ascribed  my being attacked to my influence in the area and my audacity to confront personalities in the area"

 " They were armed with Cutlasses and broken bottles. I was pinned to the ground , cut on the head with a cutlass

" I passed out instantly and I was left for dead. It was my neighbors that discovered me in pool of blood and took me to the hospital. Tijani stated.

The case was reported at the Police Station and to my surprise, I learnt that Omo Governor expressed regret that the attack didn't lead to my death".
