Sunshine Stars Football club Players on Thursday escaped death in an unknown gunmen attack along Ore-Benin Expressway.
Sunshine Stars were traveling to Benin fot NPFL match with Bendel Insurance billed for Saturday. The gunmen shot sporadically thus halting the Ondo state football Team journey to their destination .
According to the club media officer, Michael Akintude , the incident occurred at about 5.30 p.m. along Ore-Benin Expressway.i The ball boy was shot while the club coach, Seun Betiku, some officials and some Sunshine Stars players were seriously injured .
They were rushed to nearest hospital by Federal Road Safety Corps officers.
