He emphasized that, president Tinubu inherited poverty from past administrations, commending him for taking a bold step in removing fuel subsidy.

The royal father blamed Nigerians for adding more woes on common masses with inflation on local commodities like Yam, Garri, tomatoes, etc.

He wondered why the exchange rate on the dollars affected production of local commodities.

"I  want to see smiles on the face of my people. I don’t like them suffering. So, my 20years on throne celebration calls for enlightenment and giving back to humanity.

“People are suffering in this hard times, so I felt what can I do to put smiles on my people’sfaces, I decided to give them food. That is why we are distributing 50 bags of rice, beans, and rice to about 250 vulnerable.

“I know there’s poverty on the land, but I want you to realize that Tinubu inherited poverty in Nigeria. I just want to commend him for removing fuel subsidy, that’s a bold step.

“We’re our own enemies, I don’t know how dollar inflation affects garri in the market? I don’t know how dollar affected yam in our farms and tomatoes. We don’t import garri, we don’t import cow or goat, or yam, so how come our people are leveraging on forex exchange are to determine their prices.”

He added that, he would also pay a visit to the Stella Obasanjo Orphanage Home and Juvenile home in Abeokuta to donate electrical items to improve their standard of living.
