A traditional ruler in Ogun state, has made a starkling revealattiom of how the gods punished him for breaking a marital vow with his wife
The Olutori of Itoriland, HRH Abdulfatai Akamo, said, during a media parley held in his palace at itori, to mark his 20th year of his coronation that he was almost detained by the police and charged for an offence he knows nothing about.
"I was invited by the police to the headquarters for what I did not do. It was an attempt by a former Governor, who himself is a childhood friend, we ran errands together as a boy in Abeokuta , he wanted to embarass me, he said he will disgrace me all because he thought I was a friend and loyalist of his predecessor. He relied on his enormous power as a Governor but God is: forever greater and his greatness worked in my favour'
' I searched through my mind and realized that it happened to me because I betrayed my wife. I made a vow to her that upon becoming a king, I will not marry another wife. She believed me but eventually, thats what I did. It immediately dawn on me, that the gods were angry with me'
On the coronation ceremony, Oba Akamo disclosed that the right day event will include; installation of 20 chiefs, donation of food items to orphanage, book launch, prayers and many more.
