The rich culture and tradition of the Ibos will be on display in Sevilla, Spain as the Ibo General Assembly's 14th convention holds with some prominent Nigerians in attendance.
This was disclosed by the Chairman Associacion Cultural De Los Igbos En Sevilla, Frank Sam Chukwuemeka, in an interview with our correspondent.
He listed Super Eagles Star and Sevilla FC new signee, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wife of the late Kemba Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca, Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain Naomey Nwachukwu,fdc and many other prominent Nigerians from across Spain, parts of Europe, Africa and South America.
According to him, some of the activities that will be showcased include parade of Masquerades, new yam festival, cultural dance, fashion parade, football match and it will be capped up with the election of new executives.
"Igbos are known for always displaying their culture wherever they are but this event is not limited to the Igbos alone. There are other African Countries and some South American countries that will also participate. It is just an event that will bring all immigrants together to display their culture".
Collaborating Frank, the President of Nigeria Association in Sevilla, Uchenna Fabian Okolie describe the preparation of the event as a top-notch, stating that it is an opportunity to showcase the rich culture of Nigeria and the Igbos in particular.
"These people have their own way of life and as Africans, we also have our own way of life, including our rich cultural heritage which must be frequently showcased to the world.
Nigeria as a multicultural country must also use every opportunity to promote our culture and tradition ".
