How I escaped  death after being caught for gayism - Man narrates ordeal 

I began working at Ewekoro Local Government as a secretary five years ago. My boss, Mr. Sesan Ayanlowo, the Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture, facilitated my employment. Due to my hard work, Mr. Ayanlowo made me his Personal Assistant.

Hon. Sule Oseni, the Chairman of the LG, noticed my dedication and started taking me along to his outings, making me part of his entourage. One day, he invited me to his house, stating he wanted to send me to Abeokuta for an unofficial assignment.

On October 30, 2024, Chairman Oseni treated me to a good meal and wine. He revealed his bisexuality and desire for a same-sex relationship, promising to improve my life if I complied. We engaged in sex until Mr. Ayanlowo burst in with two policemen, arresting us.

At Ewekoro Police Station, Chairman Oseni was spared detention due to his status, but I was locked up with hardened criminals who brutally beat me. Eight days later, plainclothes officers released me, ordering me into a tinted Camry car.

Fearing for my life, I relaxed when I saw Hon. Oseni in the car. They took me to Muritala Mohammed Airport, handing me my passport with threats to never return to Nigeria. A follow-up call reinforced this warning.

On November 8th, 2024, I flew to Italy, where I met a woman who I asked about the next neighbouring country  and she told me about Slovenia. I travelled to Threstead, then Slovenia, seeking International Protection at the police station.

Wole's ordeal concluded with exile from his homeland, knowing return would mean death.
