Ogun NUJ Congratulates Yayi, Oludotun, Jagunmolu, Efuwape and Others on Prestigious NLC Award

 








The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, Olufunmilayo Efuwape, and others for their recent recognition with prestigious awards by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ogun State Council. 

According to a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the State Council, Comrades Wale Olanrewaju and Bunmi Adigun "Ogun NUJ commends the recipients for their unwavering support for media professionals and their commitment to the welfare of workers in Ogun State.


"The Union particularly lauded Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) for his generous donation of a solar-powered motorized borehole with water treatment plant to the new site of the NUJ Secretariat, which significantly boosts the operational efficiency of the Union.


"Special recognition was also given to Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, the Honourable Commissioner for Forestry, who facilitated the renovation of the NUJ Hall, which now features modern POP fittings.


 "Additionally, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, was acknowledged for her continuous support for the Union activities.


"The NUJ also celebrated Hon. Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, who received the Union's best Commissioner award, recognizing his responsiveness and media-friendly approach throughout his tenure.


"In the legal domain, the Union expressed gratitude to the esteemed Otunba Kunle Kalejaye SAN for his assistance in the case involving one of its members, Seun Odunlami, with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), viewing his support as a testament to solidarity and professionalism.


"Furthermore, the NUJ acknowledged the contributions of Permanent Secretaries who have consistently supported the media, including Mr. Dipo Ogunfowora (PS, Service Matters), Mr. Aregbesola Babatunde (PS, Finance), and Mr. Saka Olanrewaju (PS, Cabinet Matters).


"The Ogun NUJ reaffirms its commitment to promoting excellence in public service and media engagement, encouraging other stakeholders to follow the example of goodwill and partnership exemplified by the award recipients.


"The Union congratulates the State Chairman of the NLC and all workers in the State on this year's May Day celebration, assuring its strong solidarity and unwavering support to the activities of the State NLC, and emancipation of the work force in the State"
