NSF:Delta, Kaduna,Oyo, male Cricket teams win , as Ebonyi female cricketers defeat Gombe in group stage

 

In the  group stage of today's Cricket matches played at the Cricket Pavilion,Mko Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta,zamfara played 44 all out in 17.1 overs.

While the Kaduna Cricketers played 45 runs for loss of one wicket in 4.1 overs.

Kaduna won by 9 wickets

Kaduna's Isaac Okpe had 3 wicket for 5 runs in 2.1 over.

Okpe,who is a member of the national cricket team had an impressive runs during the match.

In the Lagos against Oyo cricket team, Oyo won the toss and elected to field. While Lagos played 147 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.

In the second innings, Oyo chased 151 runs for 6 wickets in 19.2 overs.

Oyo cricket team won by 4 wickets.

Earlier in the female category, Ebonyi against Gombe state,Ebonyi won the toss and elected to bat first, played 40 runs for 10 wickets (all outs) for 15.5 overs.

In the second inning, Ebonyi chased and played 43 runs for 1 wicket, 4. 4 overs, thus claimed victory with 9 wickets.

 Nine States namely Lagos,Oyo,Delta, kwara, Kaduna, Edo,Imo and the host state,Ogun are participating in the cricket game.

Ebonyi and Gombe's only female teams are in the competition without their male cricketers.

Oyo and Imo states are fielding only the male teams,  while Lagos, Ogun, Zamfara, Kaduna and Delta have both male and female teams participating.
