The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Disco, has resigned from his position on Wednesday, citing ongoing health challenges that have impaired his ability to govern.
His able deputy, Abdulganiyu Vinod-Obasa, has been elected as the substantive chairman.
In a letter submitted to the Agege Local Government Legislative Arm, Azeez stated that his health issues had “significantly impacted his ability to discharge his duties.”
The Legislative Council, after what it described as “thorough deliberation,” unanimously passed a resolution accepting his resignation, effective immediately.
The house acknowledged Azeez’s dedication to public service and wished him well in his future endeavors.
