The matter was originally reported by Vanguard Newspaper, and a reverse image search further confirms the authenticity and origin of the report.

The Ogun State Police Command has clarified that a circulating image claiming to show a recent incident (21/12/2025) is actually from 2021.
The image was originally reported by Vanguard Newspaper and confirmed by the then Police Public Relations Officer ,CSP Omolola Odutola.
Current Spokesman of the State Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi made clarification in statement sent to Journalists today,
