The Ogun State Police Command has intensified security measures across the state to ensure a peaceful Christmas and festive season. A joint show of force with Lagos and Oyo State Police Commands, military, NSCDC, and other agencies was conducted, particularly along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to a Press Statement made available to Journalists on Tuesday from the office of the Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi,Personnel and operational assets have been massively deployed to strategic locations, including the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Road, to safeguard lives and property. The Commissioner of Police has ordered sustained synergy with security agencies for effective coverage and rapid response.
The public is assured of continued security operations throughout and beyond the Yuletide season. Fireworks and bangers remain banned; residents are urged to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with security personnel.
