The Omala of Imala, Oba Moses Adegboyega Olabode has charged sons and daughters of Keesan Orile town to remain steadfast in their efforts towards the progress and development of the town. He made this appeal during the 2026 Keesan Orile Festival, urging both home and diaspora indigenes not to waver in their commitment to achieving greater progress for the town.
Oba Olabode who was represented by the Ashipa of Imala, Chief Akintayo Ajayi at the event held on Saturday, assured that the right desires of all the people of the town would soon become a reality.
The festival, which attracted a massive turnout of indigenes, friends, and well-wishers, featured reunions of family members and celebrations across the town.
Chiefs of Keesan Orile, including Akogun Abegunrin Akinbode and Lika Olayinka Olagbenro, commended the Baale of the town, High Chief Waheed Abodunrin Adeyemi, for prioritizing the town's development through projects like the rehabilitation of the Maternity Centre, and installation of electricity poles, provision of Laptop and sports materials for the younger ones
The Baale expressed gratitude to chiefs, indigenes, and non-indigenes for their support, describing the gathering as a family reunion. He urged indigenes worldwide to contribute to the town's development, saying it would bring progress and prosperity to Keesan Orile and its people.
" This festival is family reunion with a different going by the massive turn out being witnessed here today. I implore other indigenes of this town all over the world to come home and join the fold,contribute to the development of their roots as it is by so doing that Keesan Orile and its indigenes will witness more development and progress "he stated
Highlights of the celebration include paying of Homage to the Baale at the venue,while the Baale with his Chiefs in turn visited family compounds, where he was received with joys, prayers, and traditional songs and display by masquerades.
