Ogun State Police Command has launched the NPF-NCCC cybercrime awareness campaign, "Real Odogwu No Dey Hide Face", aimed at safeguarding the digital space. The initiative was inaugurated by Inspector General of Police IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, represented by NPF-NationalCybercrime Centre, Director CP Ifeanyi Uche Henry,

According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Spokesman of the state Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi ,The campaign is being introduced across the Command to address the borderless nature of cyber threats, including Identity Theft, Romance Scams, Phishing, Business Email Compromise(BEC), among others.

"By installing campaign banners in strategic locations, the Command is proactively sensitizing the public to remain cyber-aware and treat their digital identities with the same vigilance as their physical valuables.

He admonished  Members of the public to strongly  safeguard sensitive financial data such as ATM PINS, OTPs, and BVNs, and to utilize multi-factor authentication, avoid clicking suspicious links.
