A leading Political Group in Ogun State,Yayi Progressive Movement,YPM has donated the sum of #1billion,27 brand new Buses to Boost the campaign drive for re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu, Senatorial ambition of Governor Dapo Abiodun and Governorship candidature of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ahead of the 2027 Polls.
At the massively attended ceremony held on Sunday at the Ake Palace pavilion in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, the Converner of the Group, Chief Armstrong Tope Akintunde lauded the developmental strides of the All Progressives Congress led administration of President Bola Tinubu, Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun in Ogun State,as well as that of the Senator Representing Ogun West Senatorial district, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Akintunde stated that the Yayi Progressive Movement has come to stay as a known political group of the All Progressives Congress with a mandate to mobilize and garner 100 percent votes in the state so as to ensure electoral victories for the Party comes 2027.
He boosted that the group is poised to take its campaign drive to every nook and crannies of the state, adding that its efforts would yield massive votes that would surpass votes of the South West.
Akintunde als described the Yayi Progressive Movement members as foot-Soldiers formed to deliver 100 percent votes for President Bola Tinubu's re-election, Governor Abiodun Ogun West Senatorial bid and realization of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ambition to become Governor of Ogun state in 2027.
Akintunde who acknowledged the support of Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress and Prominent individuals in the state for their advices and backing for the movement.
According to him, the group is committed to ensuring the emergence of Senator Adeola as the next governor of Ogun State.
"This is not about an individual. It is about securing the future of Ogun State. Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi represents competence, continuity, and a proven track record. We are making these donations because we believe in the vision of the APC candidate," he remarked.
The convener maintained that the moves being made by opposition coalition cannot stop Tinubu’s re-election as well as the victory of the ruling party’s gubernatorial candidate in the state.
"Our leader has given us a marching order. We want to assure you that come 2027 election, Ogun State will deliver the highest number of votes in the entire western Nigeria. This assignment has been made very easy for us with the collaboration and efforts of our party leaders," he stated.
Akintunde commended the incumbent governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his leadership and steadfastness in driving infrastructural development and promoting peace in the state.
"We are grateful for what the current administration has done. Our support for Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi is to ensure those gains are consolidated," he added.
Akintunde further said, "Today represents another significant milestone in the evolving history of political movements in Ogun State. The Yayi Progressives Movement has come a long way; emerging from DACA, through Omoluabi, and now standing strong in its current form.
"This journey is a testament to our unity and determination to mobilise the people of Ogun State toward the realization of our party’s goals, particularly in securing decisive electoral victories for all our candidates across the state."

Earlier in his welcome address, the State Coordinator of the Yayi Progressive Movement, Hon. Olusegun Kaka commended the examplary leadership and unity the Convener, Armstrong Akintunde has fostered in All Progressives Congress of the state.
Kaka, while acknowledging the Apex leaders of the Party, Governor Abiodun and Senator Solomon Olamilekan who he described as the incoming Governor of Ogun State, stated that the importance of the movement reflects the commitment, Unity and Progress of the YPM.
"YPM remains focus, strengthening political bond and working for the good of the people of our dear state".
Eminent personalities that attended the event included former Deputy Governor, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, Senator Gbenga Obadara, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, Engr. Ade Akinsanya,Asiwaju of Awa, Chief Adeleye,Chief Waliu Taiwo, Chief Pegba Otemolu,Hon. Kehinde Odeneye, and businessman, Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende,
Fuji czar King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall was also on the bandstand, entertaining the gathering with danceable songs and political messages.
