2027:APM chairman calls party Nigeria's fastest-growing opposition, vows to defeat APC

ABEOKUTA  -- The Ogun State chairman of the Allied Peoples Movement on Thursday said  the party is Nigeria’s fastest-growing opposition and vowed to unseat the All Progressives Congress in 2027 using a “bottom-to-top” grassroots strategy.

Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, in a statement, called on “vision-driven Nigerians” to join the APM, which he described as an open platform for credible aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections. He said the party has more than 11 House of Representatives candidates nationwide.

He emphasised that the party’s grassroots-driven strategy has continued to attract new members and strengthen its structures at ward, local government, and state levels, positioning the APM as a formidable alternative ahead of forthcoming elections.

Sanyaolu also commended the efforts of the party’s presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing his political structures as formidable and instrumental to the party’s growing national appeal.

He further noted that the APM now boasts over 11 House of Representatives candidates nationwide, a development he described as a clear omen of victory and a testament to the party’s expanding reach.

“With the quality of our candidates, the strength of our grassroots mobilisation, and the commitment of our leadership, the APM is ready to challenge and defeat the APC,” Sanyaolu said.

He added that the party remains focused on offering Nigerians credible leadership and people-oriented governance.
