APC Ogun Unveils Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as Deputy Governorship Candidate for 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State Chapter, has officially presented Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate for the 2027 general election.

The announcement was made today during the APC Strategic Caucus Meeting held in Abeokuta, where party leaders, stakeholders, and members gathered further to strengthen the party's preparations for the future.

Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, a highly accomplished chartered accountant and Chief Financial Officer of Rite Foods Limited, brings over 25 years of experience in finance, administration, and corporate leadership. She is also the daughter of the Asiwaju of Ijebuland and renowned industrialist, Chief Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa, Chairman of Rite Foods Limited.

Speaking at the event, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, commended party leaders and members for their steadfast commitment, unity, and support, noting that the APC successfully produced 39 candidates for various elective positions from a pool of over 700 aspirants without crisis or division.

The party’s Governorship Candidate, Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola (Yayi), expressed confidence in his running mate, describing her as a woman of proven competence, integrity, and exceptional professional pedigree whose experience and leadership qualities will add immense value to the ticket.

In her remarks, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun expressed gratitude to the party leadership, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Solomon Adeola, and APC stakeholders for the confidence reposed in her. She pledged to justify the trust placed in her and work tirelessly alongside the governorship candidate to secure victory for the APC and deliver good governance to the people of Ogun State.
