A cobbler named Jelili is now in Police custody following d death of a female friend who he had a one night romp with on Sunday.
According to a source who is also a resident of idi ape axis in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Jelili whose shop is located at Ifote, after yesterday heavy rain, saw the woman and called her to express love and the the deceased told her that she was indebted to Lapo.
The source said" Jelili promise to help settle het Lapo debt and in no time, she agreed to Jelili's love advance and they went home together.
" They had sex and it was in d middle of this that Jelili, who is a single father of three children discovered that d woman had died.
" They said,he attempted to find a way to do away with the corpse but all in all he has been arrested by Police operatives of Oke itoku Police Station, the source concluded.
ABEOKUTA, — Operatives of Oke itoku Police Station have detained a cobbler after a female friend died during sexual intercourse at his home in Idi - Ape, Abeokuta South Local Government Area on Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Jelili, operates a cobbler’s shop in the Ifote area of Idi Ape, according to resident familiar with the incident. The resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case, said Jelili met the woman after heavy rain on Sunday.
The resident said Jelili told the woman he would help pay a debt she owed a microfinance lender known locally as LAPO. The woman agreed, and the two went to Jelili’s home, the resident said.
"Jelili, a single father of three, told investigators the woman collapsed and died while they were having sex. He allegedly attempted to move the body before officers from Oke Itoku Police Station arrested him, the resident said.
The cause of death has not been determined. The woman’s name was not released pending notification of family.
Police said the case is under investigation and the suspect remains in custody at Oke Itoku station.
