Remo Federal Constituency bye-election: NRM Condemns IPAC for endorsing APC Victory, Abiodun Administration

…labels council leadership “pro-APC political scavengers”

The Ogun State chapter of the National Rescue Mission (NRM) has strongly faulted the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in the state for validating the outcome of last Saturday’s by-election in Remo Federal Constituency, which was won by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking in Abeokuta, the state capital, the NRM chairman, Hon. Olujobi Fayoyin, described the IPAC leadership as “pro-APC” and accused them of working against opposition parties in the state.

According to Fayoyin, the current IPAC executives in Ogun State are “jesters and scavengers” who represent their own interests rather than those of their political parties.

“It is insane for anyone to call such a shameful election free and fair,” he said, while criticizing IPAC’s advice that dissatisfied parties should approach the tribunal. “We all know that the judiciary is no longer the hope of the common man. I am not surprised, because the ruling party is determined to silence opposition and turn Ogun into a one-party state ahead of the 2027 general elections.”

Fayoyin, however, assured supporters that the NRM is aware of the ruling party’s alleged plans and would continue to challenge them through the ballot. He urged the people not to be discouraged by what he described as intimidation and manipulation, insisting that “the tenure of the ruling party will soon come to an end.”
