The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has apprehended a suspect in connection with a theft incident in the state.

According to a statement issued by the State Commander of the Corps, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the suspect, identified as Sodiq Kamoru, a 25-year-old male resident of Bisodun in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, was caught at the scene of the crime.

The statement revealed that the arrest was made on August 4, 2025, around 1:37 p.m. Officers from the Mokoloki-Ofada Area Command, led by Assistant Commander Odetayo Amidu, were on routine patrol when they received a distress call about suspicious activity on a farm located in Lokoji, Obafemi-Owode.

Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the patrol team arrived at the location and arrested the suspect while he was attempting to flee with a stolen 1.5-horsepower pumping machine.

Dr. Ganzallo confirmed that the suspect and the recovered item have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at Iro Division for further investigation and possible prosecution.

While commending the professionalism, alertness, and commitment of the officers involved, the Commander emphasized that the peace and security of Ogun State remain a top priority. “No part of the state will be left unprotected. The safety of lives and property is non-negotiable,” he stated.
