ALL HAILS TOBI AMUSAN 'EXPRESS' ON HER NEW RECORD OF 12.34 SECONDS

 






Tobi Amusan runs new records, wins 100m women's hurdles at SILESIA DIAMOND LEAGUE 


obii Amusan, the reigning World Record holder, triumphs in the Women's 100m Hurdles at the Silesia Diamond League, obliterating the meet record with an astounding time of 12.34 seconds. 


In a thrilling sprint to the finish, Amusan outpaced American Kendra Harrison, who secured a commendable second place.


Nia Ali, the recently crowned US champion, clinched the third spot with an impressive time of 12.38 seconds, while Megan Tapper, the Jamaican champion, secured fourth place, surpassing her compatriot Danielle Williams, who settled for fifth.


The Nigeria sprint icon clocked her swiftest time of the season, matching Jasmine Camacho-Quinn's meet record. 


This achievement propels her to the pinnacle of the Diamond League standings, boasting a seven-point lead over Camacho-Quinn, who surprisingly did not participate in any Diamond League meet this season. 


Notably, Amusan's recent triumph in the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm marks her second consecutive victory this season, further strengthening her campaign for a triumphant third title defense.
