How unknown assailants killed Councilorship Candidate of Ward 15, Abk South LG,Ogun State

 

There was a deep tension in Oke-Ilewo area of Abeokuta following the killing of All Progressives Congress APC candidate, Ward 15, Adeleke Adeyinka on Saturday afternoon along Olusegun Osoba road,Oke-ilewo,Jide Jones area of Abeokuta City. 

The assailants were said to have arrived in a tinted car and the guys who wanted to strike came down and shot him, and later hit him with stones till he finally gave up the ghost.

The gunshots and stone's strike left his arms shattered and face completely mauled, distorted oozing with blood 

Before Adeyinka Adeleke death, he was with the transport union in Panseke area of Aboekuta. 

Also, The deceased was a former youth leader of Abeokuta South Local Government before his Aspiration and  eventual emergence as  All Progressives Congress, APC Ibara Ward 15  Councilorship Candidate for the coming November 16th LG Elections in the state.

He was described as an amazing fellow who served his people whole hearted .

The Late Adeyinka was said to be married with two wives and little children.

Meanwhile, Police command in Ogun has confirmed the gruesome murder of a 40-year-old man, Adeleke Adeyinka at Jide Jones, Oke Ilewo in Abeokuta on Saturday.

SP Omolola Odutola, the Command’s Spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement in Abeokuta.

Odutola explained that the incident occured at 12:30 pm

She noted that the perpetrators of the crime who came in an unregistered Toyota Corolla sport car fled the scene to unknown location.

” A shooting incident and murder occurred around 12:30pm . 

” A concerned citizen reported that unknown individuals, believed to be cultists arrived in a Toyota Corolla sport car, armed with a pump action shotgun and a pistol 

” The assailants opened fire, killing the deceased, who was left dead at the scene before the perpetrators fled to an unknown location.

” Another individual, Adesanya Adeyinka requested the body for burial without seeking a doctor’s examination or autopsy,” she said.

The police spokesperson explained that investigation had commenced, assuring members of the public of routine patrol.

Odutola stated that efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
