The monarch elect of the Ketu- Epe kingdom in Ikosi Ejirin Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has instituted a court case against Akeem Oluwo at the High Court,Epe.
Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora,Who is the plaintiff in the case instituted before Justice Animahnu of the High court sitting in Epe, has among his prayers , that the court should stop the Akeem Oluwo and any of his supporters of pronouncing or parading their family or descendants as being a ruling House in Ketu- Epe land.
That the only ruling House recognized in accordance with section 15 of Oba and Chief laws of Lagos State Cap 02 of 2015 is the Osokeji Atesimara Ruling House.
Barr.Tajudeen Kotun and Barr.Okoya Abolaji Stephen are counsels to the Plaintiffs; Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora and Chief Lateef Bello while Barr.Lanre Oloye served as counsel to the defendant, Akeem Oluwo.
The ongoing case has been slated for further hearing next month.
Meanwhile, The indigenes and non indigenes of Ketu Epe Land in Ikosi Ejirin Local Council Development Area,LCDA of Lagos State have reiterated their total backing for the monarch elect of the town , Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora.
The reaffirmation of the support came on heels of their anonymous voices backing the election of the monarch elect.
In separate interviews with journalists,some indigenes and non indigenes of the town; Segun Atoloye, iyabo king- salami ,Akanni Alabede, Eddy Ogbonna, Joseph Akapo, Mallam Suleiman Abdullahi,Hajia Fatima Alhasan described the Oba elect, as complete blue blood deserving of the throne.
They added that Prince Adefowora from Atesimara Ruling House is worthy of being their king going by series of laudable and impactful contributions of the Alaketu Epe elect to the growth, development and even welfare and well - being of the people of the town.
Mrs Iyabo salami -king disclosed that the Oba elect has been of immense assistance to some patients at the Ejinrin General Hospital in the town
" Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora while in overseas, whenever he was called upon for assistance by the people, he always obliged. He had even paid bills to undertake surgeries for patients at the Hospital. He has Provided School uniforms,sandals for school children in ketu Epe.staffers of the Ejirin General Hospital have always been commending his contributions to the hospital and communities in the town have been receiving Babajide Adekoya Adefowora's hands of support.
Meanwhile ,Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora has alleged that Akeem Oluwo who has been parading himself as king of the town is set to use fake documents in propagation of his family's dubious claims to the Alaketu Epe's throne.
"this his dubious act should be scrutinized legally ".
He also alleged that Akeem Oluwo by virtue of his alleged atrocities intended to implicate the Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.
" Tokunbo Wahab is a righteous man with noble missions and vision,so Akeem Oluwo must not taint the Honourable Commissioner's name.
Prince Babajide Adekoya Adefowora also implored people purchasing land from Akeem Oluwo to desist, as he(Akeem Oluwo)has no authority to do so as a king is yet to be installed in Ketu-Epe at present. He added should people should desist from buying land from Akeem Oluwo at Ketu Ejinrin, Epe.
"They should stop henceforth so as not lose their hard earn money" he concluded.
