.. reiterates commitments to gather grassroots support for yayi's 2027 aspiration

A leading socio-political group in Ogun State, the Visionaries, on Tuesday, inaugutated its State Executive in readiness to  work and gather grassroots support for Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi's 2027 aspiration.

In his address moment after the inauguration  of the 26- member executives in Abeokuta, State capital, the former Convener of the Visionaries, now the Director General, Hon. Leye Odunjo charged the executives on the need  to be dedicated and committed to the missions and visions of the group so as to achieve greater growth and development for the state  in all spheres.

Hon. Odunjo added that the inauguration signified a transition and renewed focus for  the Visionaries' missions and goals.

He added that  the group is focusing on the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as Ogun guber candidate and as same time  working on the welfare of the people.

"Just a few days ago the official unveiling of the Visionaries was done at the Iwe Iroyin Press Center, there we have Our members from all parts of the State who were convinced with the mission and vision of the Organization which are fairness, justice and equity. I must make it clear that many members of this group have occupied various political positions in the past.

"We have contributed and are still contributing to the development of the State and Nigeria in general. We still have the passion and wherewithal to serve the State and our motherland in various capacities, but while we agreed that the fulcrum of every service is having impacts in the life of the people, we will continue to make our impacts known.

"The Visionaries  as the name implies has men, women, young, old, men and women of visions. Technocrats, politicians even Students.

"Apart from supporting our State politically, we also make our first into social development of the people. That's why we are called a socio-political association".

The former lawmaker who also spoke on one of the reasons behind the formation of the group stated  "The  Visionaries was formed in response to issues in the society,.It came from observing various challenges in our State and Country. We wanted to reach out to everybody, including politicians, technocrats, and contribute to improve  good governance.

"When we see  good aspirants, we support such individuals to achieve their aim.We aim to assist hardworking individuals with good vision in transforming the State. That's why one of our  missions is to ensure that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi emerges as the Ogun Governor comes 2027.

" I want to assure you today that as the new Executives are emerging today, we will strive to remain a strong voice and chart a new course for the State. We are not going to derail from the principles of good governance, quality representation and deliverance of the dividend of democracy.

"Let me at this juncture called on Politicians to play the game according to the rules. Democracy gives voice to the voiceless, while it also allows even participation, and fair hearing to all stakeholders.

"I therefore charged the leadership of this group to lead with vision, accountability, and empathy emphasizing that true leadership is not defined by status or titles but by a demonstrated commitment to service, responsibility, and positive change.

"Leadership is the ability to manage different interests, and this we are going to do. It is the main thing at The Visionaries,  We are going with the spirit to change the narratives  and bring a new idea to governance in the State.

"I therefore called our members all over the State to continue to support a good course and work for the actualisation of the goals and aspirations of the Visionaries.
