Remo, Ogun State – As political momentum builds ahead of the 2025 general elections, Otunba Otambala Oduyomi Obafemi has officially declared his intention to contest for the Remo Federal Constituency seat under the banner of the National Rescue Movement (NRM).
In a statement shared with local media, Otunba Obafemi expressed his readiness to champion the implementation of the NRM manifesto, describing it as a roadmap to “rescue the people from painful challenges” and establish lasting empowerment programs.
“If I’m privileged to represent Remo Federal Constituency, I will waste no time in executing our party’s vision to uplift lives, especially among youths and women. We will create unshakable empowerment systems that reflect the strength and values of our people,” he said.
A strong advocate for youth development, Otunba Obafemi has consistently supported grassroots empowerment initiatives. His contributions were recently recognized with a Patron Certificate by the Man O’ War Ogun State Chapter.
With decades of political experience, Otunba Obafemi brings a track record of leadership built on transparency and service. During the administration of former Governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Produce, Agriculture, and Environment. He also previously flew the flag of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) as a candidate for Remo Federal Constituency.
As the race heats up, Otunba Obafemi says his mission remains clear: to deliver practical, honest leadership that meets the needs of the people
