Nigeria’s military leadership just got a new face, and it carries pride for Kogi State. Major General Waidi Shaibu, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, hails from Akpagidigbo in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Although he traces his roots to Kogi, Gen. Shaibu was born and raised in Kaduna, where his early years and military journey began. His appointment marks yet another milestone for Kogi indigenes contributing immensely to national service.
