The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspects for impersonation, forgery and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace around Sabo Under-Bridge area of Sagamu.
On 20th November 2025, at about 0800hrs, the Divisional Police Officer, Sakura Division, received a distress call reporting that some individuals were extorting members of the public using fake ACOMORAN revenue tickets.
Inidana Muhammad, male, 50yrs; Ali-Asan Makun Muhammad, male, 40yrs; Ahmed Isa, male, 30yrs and Saliu Isa, male, 23yrs were arrested for being in possession of forged receipts, which they used to fraudulently collect revenue from motorcycle operators and traders. Further inquiry showed that the fake tickets were supplied by one Yinusa (surname unknown), a resident of Sabo, who is currently at large.
The four suspects will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for detailed investigation and possible prosecution.
In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, issued a stern warning to urchins and disgruntled elements who disrupt the lawful activities of commercial motorcycle riders that illegal union activities will no longer be tolerated and will henceforth be met with decisive police action.
The Ogun State Police Command reiterates its strong stance against impersonation, forgery, extortion, and all acts capable of disturbing public order. The Command remains committed to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and law-abiding environment for all residents.
FAKE DOCTOR ARRESTED FOR DEFRAUDING AND ASSAULTING UNSUSPECTING FEMALE IN OGUN
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 28yrs old serial impostor, Victor Cletus, male, who callously defrauded and sexually exploited a young female victim under the guise of being a medical doctor.
The Command warns the public—especially young females—to exercise heightened caution on social media platforms, where criminals disguise themselves with false identities to lure, manipulate and extort innocent persons.
The arrest followed a distressing report lodged by the victim, who narrated how the suspect contacted her on Snapchat and falsely presented himself as a surgeon at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. Believing his fabricated credentials, she confided in him a medical concern involving a lump in her right breast.
Taking advantage of her vulnerability, the suspect fraudulently demanded an unspecified amount of money as a supposed operation fee, and deceitfully instructed her to meet him for a surgical procedure on 18/11/2025. Instead of offering any medical help, he sexually abued her and also stole money from her Opay account.
The victim’s suspicion grew the following day when the fake doctor persisted in demanding sexual intimacy without conducting any medical procedure. She independently contacted Babcock University Teaching Hospital and was shocked to learn that Victor Cletus is not a doctor but a cleaner in the hospital. The suspect is being investigated and will be prosecuted accordingly.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, Ph.D, condemns this heinous act and warns online predators and criminal impostors that the Command will not tolerate any form of exploitation, deception, or sexual violence against females. He urges young females to remain circumspect and be weary of trusting strangers with personal or medical information online.
