The Ogun State Police Command's Anti-Robbery Squad has arrested Adenekan Segun, aka "Expensive", a suspected armed robber, and recovered two pump-action firearms. The arrest followed credible intelligence on Sunday, 14th December 2025, indicating Segun's unlawful possession of the weapons.
In statement made available to Journalists by the Spokesperson of the State Command,DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi on Saturday,"The suspect allegedly brandished the firearms during a disagreement, prompting swift action by operatives. Investigation is ongoing to trace the source of the recovered firearms, after which Segun will be charged to court.
"The Commissioner of Police commends the operatives' swift response, reiterating zero-tolerance on armed robbery and illegal firearm possession. Residents are assured of the Command's commitment to sustaining peace and urged to provide timely information".
