A 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, has been arrested by the Operatives of Ajuwon Division,Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing two people and injuring three others in a knife attack at Olámbe, Ogun State.
According to a statement made available to Journalists on Wednesday by the Spokesman of the Command,DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi,The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at about 1:38 am, after Musa failed in some business deals and attacked the victims who were trying to calm him down.
The victims, Gbadamasi Ibrahim, 25, and Chinedu, 40, died while being taken to the hospital, while Mohammed Abubakar, 35, Ashiru Adamu, 25, and Paul Lawrence, 25, are receiving treatment for their injuries.
Musa escaped after the attack but was later caught by detectives and is now in police custody.
The Ogun State Police Command has condemned the attack and promised justice will be served.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, urged citizens to report suspicious activities to the police, citing emergency numbers.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation and prosecution.
