Ogun Assembly to Review 2026 Budget Performance

 

The Ogun State House of Assembly will commence its first-quarter budget performance appraisal for 2026 on Monday, May 11, 2026. The exercise, led by the Committee on Finance and Appropriation, will assess compliance of government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) with the state's 2026 Appropriation Law.

According to a Press Release made available to Journalists on Thursday by the clerk/ Head of legislative service,Mr. Sakirudeen Adebakin," the exercise, which is part of the constitutional responsibility of the legislative arm, is meant to assess the level of compliance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government to the State’s 2026 Appropriation Law, which is meant to ensure value for government resources in policy and project implementation”.

 All Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government are to attend the exercise in line with the schedule earlier sent to them commencing from Monday,  11th May, through 19th of May, 2026.
