The primary election took place at the party’s secretariat in Oke-Ijeun, Abeokuta, with representatives and executives from all 20 local government areas of Ogun State participating in the process.

Party stakeholders, ward leaders, and executives across the state were also present during the exercise, which concluded with the unanimous emergence of Hon. Fayoyin as the party’s standard bearer.

Speaking shortly after his emergence, Fayoyin said the NRM is fully prepared to challenge the existing political structure in the state and provide what he described as “true democratic leadership” for the people of Ogun State.

He stressed that his administration, if elected in 2027, would focus on economic growth, good governance, and policies that would improve the standard of living of residents across the state.

The governorship candidate further called on Ogun residents to join hands with the NRM in its quest to deliver the dividends of democracy and ensure inclusive governance for all.

Fayoyin added that the party remains committed to building a transparent and people-focused government capable of addressing the challenges facing the state.
