The Keesan Orile Community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State has donated 2,000 exercise books to support pupils in the community while declaring its backing for the political aspirations of Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and Hon. Babatunde Tella.
The educational materials were presented by Chief Prince Waheed Adeyemi on behalf of the community in the presence of a former Vice Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon.Ayoola Oluajo, and Hon. Idowu Fakorede.
Speaking during the presentation, the Baale of Keesan Orile commended Sen.Adeola for what he described as his consistent support and intervention projects aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
The traditional ruler described Yayi as a people-oriented politician capable of providing purposeful leadership and ensuring that development reaches communities across Ogun State.
The Baale also praised Hon.Tella for his grassroots-oriented representation of the Abeokuta North State Constituency, saying the lawmaker had demonstrated commitment to addressing the needs of constituents.
He said the community had resolved to support the All Progressives Congress at all levels in the forthcoming general elections, expressing optimism that continued support for the party would attract more development and effective representation to the area.
The presentation of the exercise books, according to the community, was part of its contribution towards supporting education and demonstrating its confidence in leaders it believes can advance the interests of the people.
