INEC BEGINS VOTERS' REGISTER DISPLAY, PVC COLLECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the commencement of the nationwide display of the Preliminary Register of Voters alongside the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards.
The Ogun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Feyijimi Saseyi, said the exercise would commence on Friday, October 9, and end on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Saseyi said the exercise would be conducted daily, including weekends, from 9am to 3pm across all registration areas in the 20 local government areas of the state.
Saseyi said eligible citizens would have the opportunity to inspect the voter register, collect their available PVCs and submit claims over missing or inaccurate information during the seven-day exercise.
She added that objections could also be lodged against the inclusion of persons considered ineligible to register or vote.
According to him, PVC collection would continue after the display period at the commission’s local government offices.
The REC further disclosed that trained revision officers would be deployed to collection centres to assist voters and monitor the exercise.
She advised members of the public who intend to inspect the register or collect their PVCs to come with their registration slips or a valid means of identification.
